Privacy Policy

• Account details. When you sign up we store the email address and any profile information you provide (such as a display name) through our authentication provider.
• Content you submit. Spots, reviews, ratings, comments and any photos or videos you upload to a review, plus a profile picture if you set one.
• Notification token. If you turn on push notifications in the app, we store a device messaging token so we can send them. You can turn this off anytime.
• Usage data. Basic technical information such as your browser/device type and pages or screens visited, collected automatically to keep KERB working and secure.
• Cookies and similar technologies (website). Used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and — for website visitors who are not Premium members — to serve advertising (see below).

We do notcollect your device's location. Spot coordinates you add are chosen manually on the map, not taken from GPS. We also do not access your contacts.

We use the information we collect to:

• operate, maintain and improve the site;
• display the spots, reviews and ratings you and others submit;
• manage your account and, if you upgrade, your subscription;
• send push notifications you have opted into (e.g. when your spot gets a review);
• keep KERB secure and prevent abuse;
• serve advertising to non-Premium website visitors.

We use third-party advertising, including Google AdSense, to help fund the site. Advertising is shown only to visitors who are not Premium members.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Prefer no ads at all? A Premium membership gives you an ad-free experience.

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe (on the website) and by Google Play in-app billing (in the Android app). We do not store your payment card details on our servers; card and billing data are handled directly by Stripe or Google under their own privacy policies and security standards.

We rely on the following providers to run the site:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Google Maps — displaying spots on the map.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivering push notifications (app only).
• Google AdSense — advertising (website only; not in the app).
• Stripe and Google Play — payment processing.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

You can permanently delete your account at any time:

• In the app: Profile → Delete account.
• On the website: Dashboard → Settings → Delete account.

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and your reviews (including any photos and videos attached to them). Spots you added remain on the map but are anonymised (no longer linked to you). You can also email us to request deletion.

• You can access and update your profile information, and turn push notifications on or off, from your account at any time.
• You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some website features may not work without them.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising using the links in the advertising section above.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
