Forestville Skate Park

About this spot

Also known as Melwood Park, this older Northern Beaches park favours banks over quarters, with larger banks, a single rail, a distinctive curved quarter, a sub box, a box and a central 'nipple' mound that's surprisingly easy to clear. The bowl is fun but its coping is dented from BMX use, and the half-pyramid hip is awkward. Dated but beloved, best for skaters who like banks rather than bowl rats.
