A large Convic-designed skate facility in Fremantle's Esplanade Park, opened in 2014 and regarded as one of Australia's top skateparks. It includes a contemporary skate plaza, a large skate bowl at the southern end catering to all abilities, plus Australia's first outdoor parkour area and other youth amenities. The design uses recycled materials referencing Fremantle's maritime heritage.
