South Newcastle Skate Bowl

About this spot

The bowl is the centrepiece of the South Newcastle Beach skate park (opened 2024 on Bathers Way), a spacious enclosed concrete bowl with pool-style coping, a deep end and plenty of lines. It flows into a vert wall ride and is notably the Hunter's first wheelchair-accessible (WCMX) bowl. The deep end and vert wall lean it toward more confident transition skaters, while mellow transitions keep it approachable.
