The $1.8m South Newcastle Beach skate park (opened August 2024 on Bathers Way) sits between the beach and cliff walls and is designed for all abilities including wheelchair athletes. Alongside the enclosed pool-coped bowl, the terrain and street section offers quarterpipes, ledges, rails, banks and mellow transitions. With a covered seating area, amenities and outdoor gym, it provides an inclusive alternative to the more advanced nearby Empire Park.
